Definitions and Characteristics

  1. The light part of consciousness
  2. That which the human mind perceives by its consciousness to be true
  3. That which the human mind perceives of the universe that it can utilize for its good is knowledge.
  4. Self-awareness which gives power for positive accomplishment.
  5. Mental perception of the universe which the mind can realize for its own good and growth.
  6. Knowledge is knowledge of the universal mind. The individual mind’s perception is personal knowledge. Personal knowledge becomes the knowledge when mind is universalized.

  8. One person’s true knowledge cannot conflict with the knowledge of another.
  9. Mental perception of the universe which the mind can realize for its positive growth which cannot differ from the knowledge possessed by different people.

  14. ‘’Opinion:’’ Perception by individual mind of an object or experience which is interpreted in terms of past experience or beliefs.
  15. ‘’Criteria for knowledge:’’
    1. Specific/individual and universal must be the same. There should be no contradiction between the law for the general and the particular.
    2. The objective and subjective must be in harmony. The inner perception and outer reality must be consistent.
    3. Mind that perceives the knowledge must have the power to express it harmoniously for growth without negative consequences.
  16. ‘’Life Knowledge’’
    1. An act is a unit of totality.
    2. To complete an action successful requires knowledge at three levels -- physical facts, psychological experiences, and mental conceptions.
    3. Knowledge of any action in not complete unless it has the capacity to complete the act.

  1. Pride & Prejudice
    1. The Knowledge required by Darcy and Elizabeth is a psychological self-knowledge which will make their marriage possible. Both of them come to desire the marriage but are unsure of the steps needed to consummate it. When Elizabeth acquires that knowledge, Darcy comes with the intention of proposing. When Darcy acquires it, Elizabeth takes a psychological initiative that makes the proposal possible and accepts it.
