  1. A center of human consciousness: the nervous emotional center of human personality which is the main source of energy for human interaction and includes psychological desires, feelings, and attitudes. The vital is the psychological center from which we relate to other human beings. It is the source of social drives, feelings and emotions.
  2. A type of person: one whose personality is predominately vital in nature, a person who feels, relates and reacts intensively, often in the role of leader or ruler, warrier, lover, merchant or loyal follower.
  3. A plane of existence: the plane of life and all forms of energies in the cosmos that lies between the physical plane of forms and the mental plane of thought.
